Under the creative guidance of Dr P.A. Francis, O.W.T.O. is what happens when real musicians, with real instruments, get in a studio and press record.

No smoke, no mirrors, no autotune, and no machines. It’s all live. O.W.T.O. seek to remind its audience why authenticity still matters, with a musical pulse somewhere between nostalgia and evolution.

O.W.T.O. describes itself as a large G&T — Grooves and Tunes. Live, the project hits hard and true, and without doubt, they’ll have you saying, “To hell with it, where’s the dancefloor?”

From an early fascination with piano and drums through performing arts training, a Jazz Performance Honours Degree, a Performance Master’s and a PhD in Higher Instrumental Popular Music Education, Dr P.A. Francis has built a career across professional music and education.

His drum grooves have supported artists whose credits include BB King, Amy Winehouse and James Brown, with work spanning live performance, studio sessions, TV, film and stage productions. After years in supporting roles, Paul expanded into writing, lyrics, production and arranging.

O.W.T.O. brings international musicians together with a live sound, creating an “evolution of nostalgia” designed to put the listener at the heart of the process.
